Party Party Party

Well, October is the month of birthdays it seems!

First, mine was last Sunday. We spent the day together as a family - went to brunch together, then walked in the park and all came home and watched the Texans win a football game - then took naps! It was a great way to spend the day...however, next year is my 30th so I expect a little more celebration action for that one!

Next was Ranson's birthday and William's - these are Mav's cousins and they share the same birthday. Ranson has a birthday party at his house and here he is with the Jacquet cousins:



We took our first road trip on Saturday and drove across state lines into Louisiana for Will's first birthday. This is his cousin on the Whitfield side. Here is Will and Mav - see how Will is hitting Mavrik!!!

Just kidding!!! It's just the way the picture looks - Mav is squirming and Will's hand is just hoovering over Mav's head. You can bet this picture will resurface when they are older though!

Mavrik has made the parenthood adjustment pretty easy overall. He's a good baby and is sleeping pretty solid during the night. I usually have at least one five or four hour stretch. However, he has had his fussy day here and there and he gets a little whiny in the evenings, but that is normal from the day's activities. We try and get out at least once a day either to the store, to visit someone or just a walk in the park. I just don't see how it's possible but we love him more each day and he somehow is still managing to get cuter...here is his 5 week birthday pic:
