Thailand - Jan 3-7th

Rob and I went to Thailand for a little trip and thought we would take advantage of the beautiful lands nearby!

We flew into Krabi, Thailand, stayed there for a night, then woke up early the next day and took a longboat to Railey Beach, Thailand. This peninsula is only accessed by boat and has no roads...as secluded as it sounds, we discovered it was overrun with tourists and backpackers from all over the world! It was still beautiful though!

The first day we explored the beach area and hung out around the area. The next day we took an all day tour which allowed us to kayak, snorkel and lay on the beach. It was really cool and the water was emerald green and the day was great! I sliced my toe later that evening walking in the water to catch the longboat back to our hotel.

The next day, we signed up for an all day dive trip. Rob was so excited, however, nature had different plans. He woke up ill but tried to persevere. We went on and took a 2 hour boat ride out to Phi Phi islands for our first dive site. It was so gorgeous and full of coral, clams, fish, starfish...etc. Although, diving at 18m when you are nauseous and cold is not a good idea! When we got back to the surface, we knew we were done for the day! Still, it was a nice boat ride and if you are going to be sick, it's a much better view than staring up at the ceiling at home. Rob is doing much better now but I am glad to be back in safe Singapore!

Fittingly, it rained the day we had to leave. We caught the longboat back to the mainland and remained soaked until we got to the airport hours later.

We are back in Singapore safe and sound now and had a great experience and met plenty of friendly people. It was a great trip, and all the unexpected things - crowds, poopers, rain, injuries - just make it that much more memorable!
